The Changeling’s Champion Coming Soon to Preorder

It’s crazy how long I’ve known Miya Kressin. More than a dozen years now. I met her on MySpace (remember that?).

We had always wanted to work together, and I was honored she let me publish her Asylum saga. The epic tale of Roseen and Cade is among the most intimate and honest stories I’ve had the pleasure to be a part of.

I remember suggesting an Asylum plan to Miya. Sending her all three cover images with no comment besides a request for her reaction. I remember that she realized that I got it, and she was excited about how to pull it all together.

There’s something even more elemental about Changeling. Something visceral.

I’ve uploaded files to Amazon and expect the preorder will be live presently. There’s the cover, over to the right there.

And in the meantime, there might just be an exciting offer in the making.

You might want to have No Expectations about it over Valentine’s day, though . . .

Nick Earls’ Analogue Men: Now Available for Preorder

Just a year ago right now, I was gearing up to publish the final installment of Nick’s Wisdom Tree series — which ultimately won the Ippy Award for Adult Fiction Ebook of the Year.

I had hoped that would help gain Wisdom Tree wider attention. I’m sure Nick did, as well. I’ve been surprised not to hear more about the win, all things considered.

On the other hand, I’m a big believer in looking forward, too. So this year, in time for Cyber Monday and coinciding with the anniversary of Wisdom Tree, Nick’s new novel Analogue Men is up for pre-order. And just check out that cover!

This is the first time Analogue Men will be available for sale outside Australia and New Zealand, and it’s another in a long line of novels that demonstrates I’m just not sure there’s a better and more consistent writer out there than Nick. His books utterly defy categorization — just when you think you have a classic coming-of-age story like Monica Bloom things get a little more complicated, and just when you think you’re reading a novel about a globetrotting comedian that would have likely been shelved in what used to be referred to as “chick lit” (it seems like the publishing industry has moved away from its use, and thank goodness for that), you get a heart-rending backstory.

Analogue Men is about two men on the cusp of fifty staring down the 21st century and hoping for the best, and it’s every bit as hilarious, warm, and serious as Nick’s other novels.

I mean, seriously, how could you not want to?

Honestly, if you don’t want to read Dolph the Unicorn Killer & other stories, I just don’t know what to say. I’m at a total loss.

And I can’t tell you more about the collection yet, and especially not the titular story, because Dolph. Because unicorns and killing them.

Seriously, go get it for your Kindle. It’ll come to other formats, but Amazon has done a masterful job of getting the digital reading experience right, and there’s no better way to read Dolph.
